Did you know Alfredo sauce is as easy as mixing a few ingredients together and boiling? Yeah I didn't either and I also didn't believe it would be this delicious. So on those evenings when you don't know what you're going to make and you don't have a lot of time this makes a quick, easy, and even nutritious meal.
2 cups Raw Cream
2 cups Cheese
1/2-1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
Heat the cream to about 100 degrees.
Add the cheese. I usually use a combination of Parmesan, Asiago, and Mozzarella but I've used just Mozzarella or just Parmesan before with success. But do not use the green jars of Parmesan. Those do not melt, which makes me question what is truly in them (that's a topic for a different day). You must get the shredded Parmesan in the refrigerated section. Or make your own cheese to add in.
Continue heating until the cheese is melted.
Add the Garlic Powder. 1/2-1 Tablespoon is what we prefer but you can certainly use more too.
You can also add Salt and Pepper to taste if you'd like.
Boil for a couple of minutes until it thickens slightly. Sometimes I skip this step and leave it a little runny to preserve all the probiotic goodies of the raw cream. (Avoid heating hotter than 115 in that case.)
Mix with noodles.
We then added broccoli and tuna. You can eat it plain or add any kind of meat and veggie.
Who knew it was that easy!
